Nolan Terrence wins Gold at the 2016 Junior Pan Am Championships

Nolan Terrence who competes for KSS took home International honours at the Junior Greco Roman Pan American Chamionships in Barinas, Venezuela by winning a Gold Medal at 120 kgs. Nolan who has competed for Quebec at the Canada Games (Siler Medal at 130 kgs) and the 2016 Junior Nationals in both Freestyle (Silver Medal) and Greco Roman (Gold Medal) is another strong athlete to come out of the KSS wrestling program. Congratulations to Nolan on your impressive result!

Quebec Wrestlers capture two Gold Medals in the Freestyle Division

In Freestyle, Quebec wrestlers had some very impressive results. Alex Moore of the Montreal YMHA won three matches by beating Peru 10-0, Ecuador 10-0 and Venezuela 10-6 to claim Gold at 74 kgs while Frederique Choquette, from the Patriotes des St-Cesaire beat Venezuela by a score of 4-2 to also win the Gold medal at 120 kgs. These two Gold Medals for the tournament in the Freestyle Mens Division represent a strong performance from our clubs at the grassroot level.
