Results from the Guelph Open

The Guelph Open took place last weekend and Quebec clubs took part in the tournament as CLIC, Concordia, KSS and the Montreal YMHA sent athletes to the tournament.  The Guelph Open has long been considered to be one of the top tournaments in the country and is one of the Carding tournaments that Canadian athletes must participate in to obtain carding points.  the tournament featured athletes from around Canada, the United States and even Japan.  The results were as follows:

From KSS, Nolan Terrence placed 2nd at 120 kgs while from the Montreal YMHA, Jordie Steen won Gold at 84 kgs.  Also wrestling from the Montreal YMHA, Hamed Rowshani (97 kgs) took a Silver medal in his division.  On the Womens side, Jade Dufour from Concordia University placed second at 48 kgs while from the Montreal YMHA Linda Morais continued her dominant run for the season by winning Gold at 58 kgs.  Veronica rounded out the results for the Montreal YMHA by winning Gold at 75 kgs.  Montreal YMHA would also finish third overall in both the the Mens and Womens divisions for the tournament.
