A highlight weekend for Quebec

Facebook Twitter

Quebec clubs had a busy weekend as the Quebec Provincial Championships took place in St-Cesaire Quebec and the CIS National Wrestling Championships were held in Winnipeg Manitoba at the University of Winnipeg.  The Provincial Championships feature clubs from around Quebec and are used as a selection process for the Canadian National Championships (Cadet-Juvenile and Junior-Senior).  The CIS (Canadian Inter-University Sport) Nationals takes the best university athletes from around the country and has them wrestle off in a tournament to determine which university is the best for that competitive season.  The top two medals winners per weight division become All-Canadians for that year.  Concordia University is Quebec's only representative at the CIS Championships in both the Mens and Womens divisions.
