The Canada Games Trials took place this past Saturday at the Kanawhake Survival school.  Clubs sent representatives to compete in a wrestle-off for the right to represent Quebec this summer in Winnipeg Manitoba.  The Canada Games is one of the most prestigious events for young athletes in Canada and has often been referred to as "The Canada Olympics".  The tournament is a three day event as there is a team and individual component to the competition and consists of athletes in the Cadet and Juvenile age divisions.  Athletes that received a medical exemption will wrestle off at a later date to determine who will represent Quebec.  In addition to this, the coaches for both teams as well as the team manager will be determined at a later date.
