The Ontario Cup finished off a busy weekend for Quebec in Guelph as athletes from the Montreal YMHA sent athletes to the competition. The Ontario Cup features a UWW Cadet age group as well as a Junior age division and is a great summer tournament for younger athletes during the summer which also features some international competition.

For the boys, in the UWW Cadet division, Nicolae Grandrabura won Gold at 56 kgs while Natael Lebrun-Cantin (63 kgs) and Samuel Rainville (69 kgs) both took home Silver medals. Rounding out the results in the UWW Cadet division Girls, Erin Rainville won a hard fought final match at 56 kgs to win a Gold medal.

In the Junior Girls division, Jade Dufour won her final match by Technical Fall at the 51 kgs divsion to win Gold while two Silver medals were won by Cristina Coreconceva (59 kgs) and Alexia Sherland (74 kgs). For the Junior Boys, Kyle Price (84 kgs) and Aly Bargout (120 kgs) both won Gold in their divisions while Julien Choquette finished second at 84 kgs and Jaskran Singh rounded out the results with a Bronze Medal at 66 kgs. A congratulations goes out to our Quebec athletes for their hard fought performances this past weekend.
