The World Junior Championships took place in Tampere Finland this past week.  Quebec had a strong presence with three members of the Montreal YMHA and one member of the Tristar Wrestling Academy there to represent Canada at the premier event for Junior Wrestlers in the world.  Jade Dufour wrestling at 48 kgs, Alex Moore wrestling at 84 kgs looked to build upon their performances from last year while newcomers Aly Barghout at 120 kgs and John Yeats at 74 kgs Greco-Roman looked to make an impression.

On day two of the competition, Alex Moore would start off the day with a win by Technical Fall vs. Israel.  Alex would then go on to beat his opponent from Belarus by another Technical Fall before losing in the Quarterfinal to Iran who later win the Bronze medal.  Alex would improve on his 9th place finish from last years Junior Worlds by finishing 7th.
