A successful final part for the month of July

The month of July was very successful for wrestlers from the province of Quebec as two wrestlers from the QWA captured medals at two international tournaments. Matthew Miller captured a Silver Medal in the 80kgs Greco Roman category at the 2014 Pan-American Championships.

Dory Yeats also was successful, winning two Gold Medals. Dory won at the FISU Worlds held in Pecs, Hungary and followed it up with another Gold medal performance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Congratulations to them both!

On Sunday, July the 26th, members of the Montreal YMHA and a club from New Brunswick participated in the Ohio State Fair Wrestling Tournament. Many of these wrestlers were competing in their first International event and performed exceptionally well, wrestling against teams from the Ohio region as well as a team from Ontario. Here's hoping for a return trip next year!
