The Montreal YMHA and CLIC competed in two strong tournaments in the month of December.  Montreal YMHA sent a contingent of wresters to compete at the Bishop Ryan Invitational held in Hamilton.  The results for the Bishop Ryan Invitational which took place on Friday December 12th are as follows.

At 67.5 kg Guseyn Ruslanzada of Montreal YMHA placed first and Alex Moore of Vanier College placed second.  Francis Carter from Vanier College also took first palce at the 72 kg category while Jimmy Fatourous of Beurling Academy took the Gold Medal at 83 kg. Rounding out the results for the Open Boys, Fredrique Choquette took Gold at 95 kg and Aly Barghout from Montreal YMHA won a Gold Medal at the HWT division.

In the Girls Division, Kaya Dubé-Snow of Beurling Academy took silver at the 58 kg category while Amanda Savard of Vanier College won Gold at the 62 kg category.

The second tournament of the weekend was the Matmen Invitational held in Brampton, Ontario on Saturday December the 13th.  CLIC and Montreal YMHA both had wrestlers to compete in this tournament, widely believed to be one of the strongest high school competitions in Ontario.  All wrestlers competed hard, with some strong results that followed.
