Update for the month of June

June 2015

The month of June is also a quiet one. The only scheduled tournament on the calendar is the Canada Cup. Held in Guelph Ontario, the tournament is a staple for the month for the month of June and features competitors from many different countries.

Jordan Steen was the only top six finisher from Quebec, placing 4th at the 86kg Men Division. For full tournament results, click here.

G.M.A.A Athletics Banquet June 1st 2015

The G.M.A.A. honoured its graduating athletes their annual Athletic Awards Banquet. Representatives from KSS led by Angel Robertson and Brandon Brascoup, Juliano Vaccarino from Selwyn House and Adam Khan from Vincent Massey Collegiate were nominated for their accomplishments over the course of their high school careers. We wish them luck in the future if they continue to pursue wrestling at the college and unviersity levels.

Wrestling Canada AGM June 26-28 2015

The Wrestling Canada AGM is annual meeting bringing all the provinces and territories to discuss matters that pertain to Canadian Wrestling for both the previous and upcoming year. Details can be found on the Wrestling Canada Lutte website.

YMHA Hall of Fame Induction Monday June 29th 2015

David Zilberman of the Montreal YMHA will be inducted into the YM-YWHA Hall of on Monday June 29th. David is a coach at the Montreal YMHA and has represented Canada at numerous International Events. David placed 5th at the 2006 World Championships as well as capturing medals at the Commonwealth and Pan-American Championships. David represented Canada at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing where he placed 14th. Congratulations David on your induction into the YM-YWHA Hall of Fame!
