Updates for the Months of August, September and October

August 2015

August was a slow month concerning the province of Quebec for wrestling as athletes prepare for the Senior Mens and Womens World Championships.

September 2015

September marks the beginning of most school programs for wrestling beginning with Quebec's sole CIS team Concordia in preparation for the upcoming season. The only tournament that happens at this time is the Senior Mens and Womens World Championships which were held in Las Vegas Nevada. Quebec's sole representative was Dory Yeats of TWA.

The annual Concordia Invitational will take place on Sunday November 1st 2015 at the Loyola Campus Gym.

October 2015

On Saturday October 10th, members from various wrestling clubs in Quebec which included CLIC, Montreal YMHA and les Patriotes de St-Cesaire competed at the annual Copa Sparta held in San Juan Puerto Rico. The tournament features various age groups ranging from Schoolboy, Cadet, Juvenile, Junior and Senior. Results were strong as all our Quebec athletes returned with a Top Four finishing. Yeats receives Fondation d' Athlete d' Excellence de Quebec from Saputo

On October 20th 2015, Dory Yeats from TWA received the Academic Bursary from the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec courtesy Saputo Inc. Twenty bursaries were awarded for academic excellence and twenty one bursaries were awarded for academic and athletic excellence. Congratulations Dory on your fine accomplishment !
