In a year when public schools excercised their right to "Work to Rule", the G.M.A.A Wrestling Championships still finished on a strong note with five schools competing in the finals.

Loyola High School beat KSS by a slim margin by 73 points to 69 making it one of the closest G.M.A.A. Finals in recent history.  The final result was essentially determined by the final match in the heavyweight division as Loyola's Alexander Corej defeated KSS' Brandon Jacobs.

Jonathan Campagnolo (VMC) vs. Joseph Rice (KSS)

In another first for the G.M.A.A. Wrestling Finals, there was a tie for the Outstanding Wrestler Award as Loyola's Josh McCarthy and VMCs Jonathan Campagnolo both took the honour.
