Clubs from Quebec competed in the 33rd Mohawk Valley International held in Canastota New York this past Saturday.  The tournament is pretty significant in that it marks the beginning of the Freestyle and Greco-Roman seasons in the state of New York.  The competition was quite tough as it featured 450 athletes in many different age groups from clubs in the United-States, Ontario and of course Quebec.

Twenty Quebec athletes participated in the tournament from CLIC, Montreal YMHA, the Patriotes de St-Cesaire and the Crazy Dogs.  The results were quite good as Christopher Merlo, wrestling for CLIC at the 88 lbs Cadet Boys division won a Silver Medal.
