Hurricane Matthew wasn't able to stop members of Team Quebec as they competed at the Copa Sparta tournament held in San Juan Puerto Rico.  Athletes from The Montreal YMHA, Vanier College, Concordia University and the Crazy Dogs competed in the annual event with fantastic results.

Jason Luneau, competing for the Crazy Dogs at Cadet 47 kgs won a Gold medal in his division while from Vanier College, Dylan Mc Lean (55 kgs), Alex Moore (74 kgs), Sam Barmish (84 kgs) and Aly Barghout (120 kgs) all put in a dominant performance as they all captured Gold medals in their Junior divisions.

In 84 kgs Junior Boys, Kyle Price of Concordia University took home a Silver medal while Jeremy Poirier (96 kgs Junior boys) and Dajinder Singh (70 kgs Senior Men), wrestling for the Montreal YMHA won Silver medals in their respective divisions.

Congratulations to all our Quebec athletes at the Copa Sparta!  This is an excellent start to the competition season!
