Results from the McMaster Invitational

This past weekend, clubs from Quebec competed in the annual McMaster Inviatiational torunament.  Once a National Carding tournament, McMaster still fields a strong, competitive tournament.  Concordia University, Montreal YMHA and Vanier College all sent representatives and the results were as follows:

In the 68 kgs Mens Division, Dajinder Singh of the Montreal YMHA took 5th place while wrestling for Vanier College, Guseyn Ruslanzada (Gold 72 kgs Mens division), Alex Moore (Gold 76 kgs Mens division), Sam Barmish (5th Place 82 kgs Mens division) and Aly Barghout (Silver 130 kgs Mens division) competed as well with strong results.  Rounding out the results on the Mens side, Frederick Choquette from Concordia University took home the Gold medal at 130 kgs whole Dimitri Gershanov of the Montreal YMHA placed 5th at 72 kgs.

On the Womens side, Laurence Beauregard from Vanier College won a Gold medal in the 55 kgs Womens division while Amanda Savard, also of Vanier College placed 5th at 67 kgs.  Rounding out the results for the Quebec women, Alexia Sherland from the Montreal YMHA took a Bronze medal at the 72 kgs Womens division.
