The 32nd University Sport Gala 2017

The Foundation for University Sport held their annual gala at the Sheraton Hotel in Laval Quebec on Wednesday November 29th. The gala recognizes the accomplishments of the student-athletes competing in the RESQ league at the university level. The event was hosted courtesy of RDS by David Arsenault, also of RDS. During the evening, athletes were recognized in various categories ranging from athletic, academic, athletic and academic achievements and leadership and community service. Alex Moore and Laurence Beauregard both received recruitment bursaries as athletes with significant athletic achievements entering into the university level for the calendar year of 2017-18. Alex, a Junior Pan-American Gold medalist received an $8000 bursary while Laurence, the 2017 Francophone Games Champion received a bursary of $3000. Congratulations to both of wrestlers and best of luck in your university studies.
