The Milton Tournament and the National Capitol Tournament

The end of the competitive year finished off with two tournaments, once again back to back.  The Milton Tournament on Friday December 15th, another strong competition which featured over 650 athletes spread across several age and weight categories and the National Capitol Tournament, changing it's tournament date from early January, to Saturday December 16th.  Once again, Quebec clubs were in full participation as Beurling Academy, CLIC, KSS, the Montreal YMHA, les Patriotes de St-Cesaire, The Riverdale Wrestling Club, Vanier College and Vincent Massey Collegiate sent athletes to both competitions.

At the Milton Tournament, wrestling for Heritage Regional High School, Stone Lewis took the Gold Medal in the 61 kgs division while from the Montreal YMHA, Jason Luneau (Gold Medal) and Nicolae Grandrabura (Silver Medal) took home two medals in the 57.5 kgs division.  Finally, from Vanier College, Jayden Sparks (57.5 kgs), Nataël Lebrun-Cantin (67.5 kgs) and Jaskaran Singh (72 kgs) all won Gold while Jonathan Campagnolo finished with a Silver Medal at Heavyweight.

At the National Capitol Tournament, wrestling for Beurling Academy, Dylan Young (Bantam Boys 79 kgs), Deven Glover (Cadet Boys 54 kgs) and Krissia Cruickshank (Bantam Girls 53 kgs) all won Gold while Alicia Rodriguez Sayers took Silver at 75 kgs Cadet Girls and Nourelddein Elmogi won a Bronze Medal at Bantam Boys 46 kgs.

Wrestling for CLIC, Nicolas Lescadre won Gold in the Kids division at 34 kgs while Laurence Lescadre (Bantam Boys 48 kgs) and Thomas Rizk (Open Boys 92 kgs) both won Silver Medals.  Bilal Mafoudi would finish off with a Bronze Medal in the Cadet Boys 80 kgs division.

The KSS Wrestling Club also had a strong showing as wrestlers took medals in various age groups.  Tharahkwisere Stacey (Kids 37 kgs), Yakotahusatat McComber (Bantam Girls 39 kgs), Dylan Standup (Bantam Boys 55.9 kgs), Stella McComber (Girls Cadet 70 kgs), Kaientaronkwen Diabo (Bantam Boys 97 kgs) and Tehotakehntha McComber (Open Boys 100 kgs) all won Gold Medals in their respective divisions.  Winning Silver Medals were Tahaniehtatihentho Stacey (Kids 28 kgs), Iawenitase Pinsonneault (Bantam Girls 53 kgs), Shakonikonratektskwas Deer (Bantam Boys 54.5 kgs), Stone McGregor (Kids 57.75 kgs) and Kya Hemlock (Bantam Girls 75 kgs).  Finally, finishing with Bronze Medals were Karonhiaktatie Jacobs (Kids 20 kgs), Karonhiaheshon Jacobs (Kids 34.5 kgs), Anonkwaienton Delormier (Bantam Boys 42.5 kgs), Sabrina Montour (Bantam Girls 51.4 kgs), Noah Norton (Kids 57 kgs), Atsenhanonha Horn (Bantam Boys 57 kgs), Maris Brascoup (Kids Girls 58.2 kgs) and Nick Cross (Cadet Boys 92 kgs).

From les Patriotes de St-Cesaire, Salomon Lacasse (Kids 36.1-37 kgs), Nathan Rainville (Bantam Boys 35.4-38 kgs), Émile Forgues (Bantam Boys 63.5-66 kgs) and Raphaël Hardy (Bantam Boys 72 kgs) all won Gold while Jacob Jutras (Bantam Boys 39-42 kgs) finished off with a Silver Medal.  Rounding out the results for les Patriotes, Nathan Germain (Bantam Boys 47-50 kgs) finished with a Bronze Medal.

From the Montreal YMHA, Ilie Dragoman (Cadet Boys 76 kgs), Nicolae Grandrabura (Open Boys 58 kgs) and Stone Lewis (Open Boys 61 kgs) would all take home Gold Medals.  Jason Luneau (Open Boys 58 kgs) and Alexa Grimaldi (Open Girls 46 kgs) would round out the results with a Bronze Medals in their respective divisions.  From the Riverdale Wrestling Club, David Collins took home a Silver Medal at 66 kgs Open Boys.

Finally, from Vanier College Jayden Sparks (Open Girls 56 kgs), Nataël Lebrun-Cantin (Open Boys 66 kgs), Jaskaran Singh (Open Boys 72 kgs) and Julien Choquette (Open Boys 92 kgs) all won Gold medals in their respective divisions to make it a clean sweep.
