Concordia athletes pick up some hardware from the Athletic awards

Concordia held their annual athletic awards on Friday April the 6th at the Oscar Peterson Hall on the Loyola Campus of Concordia University.  Concordia's wrestlers were in line to pick up some major awards as Vince De Marinis and Francis Carter received major University awards.  Vince was honoured with the Michael Di Grappa Award of Distinction given for "Career contribution to the Stingers" while Francis Carter was the Male Athlete of the Year and winner of the President's Award (given for achievements in athletics and academics).

Alex Moore: Wrestling Male Rookie of the Year

For the Team Awards given to the athletes of each respective team, Alex Moore was named as Male Rookie of the Year while Laurence Beauregard was named as Female Rookie of the Year.  For the MVPs (Most Valuable Players) Jade Dufour received the Womens MVP for Wrestling while Francis Carter was named the MVP for the Mens Team.  Congratulations to our Varsity Athletes for being recognized for all their hard woirk this year!
