The 2018 Senior World Championships took place in Budapest, Hungary on October 20th to the 28th bringing all the best Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women Wrestlers in the world for the informal end of the wrestling season.  Quebec's three representatives to the tournament were Scott Schiller (61 kgs), Jordan Steen (97 kgs) and Linda Morais at 59 kgs, all wrestling for the Montreal YMHA and were accompanied by Coach David Zilberman.  Jordan qualified his weight division by winning the 2018 Canadian National Championships while both Linda and Scott qualified their weight divisions by wrestling and winning in the Non-Olympic weight division trials.

The first Quebec athlete to compete was Scott Schiller (61 kgs) on Saturday October 20th.  Scott's first match would have him face-off against Parviz Ibrahimov from Azerbaijan.  After a tense match, in which Scott would concede an early 6-0 lead, the score would finish off 8-6 as Scott's attempt at a thrilling comeback would fall just short.  Scott would unfortunately not advance to the repechage after Ibrahimov would lose to his opponent from Japan.

The next Quebec athletes to take to the mat was Jordan Steen (97 kgs) and Linda Morais (59 kgs)  who would both wrestle on Monday October 22nd.
