On the third day of the 2018 Senior World Championships, Quebec's Jordan Steen (97 kg) and Linda Morais (59 kg) would take to the mats.  Jordan's first match would be against against Murazi Mchedlidze of Ukraine while Linda's first match would have her wrestle against Camara of Guinea.

Jordan would initially go down by a score of 0-2 before making his comeback with five unanswered points to win by a score of 5-2.  Jordan would move on to the quarterfinals where he would wrestle against Pavlo Oliinyk of Hungary.  Jordan would be taken down and eventually lose by Technical Superiority to Oliinyk and would have to wait on the pending results to see if he would advance to the repechage.  Sadly, Oliinyk would lose Kyle Snyder of the USA meaning that Jordan would not advance to the repechage.

Linda's first match would prove to be anti-climatic as her opponent would fail to show up to the mat.  As a result, Linda would win her first match via Forfeit.  Linda would next have to wrestle against Elif Yesilirmak of Turkey.  After taking a 3-0 lead, Linda would evenutally lose via Decision by a score of 5-3.  Linda would have to wait to see if she would advance to the repechage.  Yesilirmak would win her next two matches, thereby guraranteeing Linda's spot in the repechage against Bonila Romero from Mexico.

In her repechage match, Linda would take a 3-0 lead but then lose via Fall after falling behind on Criteria.  Though the results weren't what we had hoped for, our Quebec athletes nevertheless acquitted themselves well and should be congratulated for their hard work in gettng there.  Best of luck in the upcoming season.
