The university wrestling season has begun and the second tournament on the schedule is the McMaster Invitational. A traditional stop for Quebec clubs, CLIC, Concordia University and the Montreal YMHA sent athletes to the competition with the results as follows.

Wrestling for CLIC, Keila Silva (82 kg) would finish off with a Silver Medal after the conclusion of the Round Robin. Wrestling for Concordia, Sam Garland (72 kg) would wrestle a tough tournament and finish in 6th place. Sam Barmish wrestling at 82 kg would come up short in the Gold Medal final to finish with a Silver medal while Frederique Choquette would finish with a Silver Medal in 120 kg. In the Women's division, Kaleigh Prieur (48 kg) would lose her Bronze Medal final to finish off 4th while Jade Dufour would take Silver at 55 kg. Amanda Savard, (67 kg) would beat Ellise Daynes from the Hamilton Wrestling Club by Decision (6-6) to win Gold while Genevieve Lamarche wrestling at 72 kg would finish off in the Silver Medal in the Round Robin to round out the results for Concordia.

Competing for the Montreal YMHA, Brayden Todd (61 kg) would beat Marco Palermo (Lakehead University) by a score of 10-4 to win the Gold Medal in his division while at 68 kg Vincent De Marinis would also win his final match versus Elvir Uzunovic of Guelph University to also win Gold. Guseyn Ruslanzada (76 kg) would continue the strong performance for the Montreal YMHA and beat Alex Richer from Lakehead University via Technical Fall (10-0) to win Gold while Julien Choquette wrestling at a tough 90 kg division would finish 5th. Finally at 100 kg, Jeremy Poirier would finish his tournament strong with a 5-4 win in the Bronze medal final versus Ikjyot Randhawa of Akhara of Champions while Aly Barghout would win Gold at 120 kg to round out the results for the Men. Finally, wrestling in the Women's division, Jayd Davis (55 kg) would win Gold for the final results for the Montreal YMHA.
