Call for nominations for Officials

To all Officials,                                                                                                              

The new by-laws, adopted on May 15th provide that the composition of the board of directors includes a director elected by and amongst the officials of the FLOQ.
The vote will be held through an electronic vote, during the week prior to the general annual assembly.

We invite you to submit your name with a small explanation why you would like to sit on the Board of Directors of the FLOQ and why do you think you should be the one.

In order to present your candidacy to as the Official director to sit on the Board of Directors you need to:

  • Have completed your membership form as an official and paid the annual membership fees;
  • Be 18 years old and older
  • Have served as an official for at least one (1) sanctioned event by the FLOQ
  • Have least a level C national official certificationSubmit your candidacy to the Board of directors with the following documents: (1) candidacy form, (2) curriculum vitae; (3) proof of compliance to the background check policy adopted by the FLOQ.

For the next two (2) years, your role as an Officials’ director would be:

  • To represent all the officials, being the officials’ voice and protecting their rights
  • To be involved in developing policies governing members’ conduct and safety in sports
  • To be responsible for the officials’ training calendar
  • To be involved in developing selection policies for the officials to represent Quebec in various competitions.

During the first week of June all the official members will receive an e-mail with regard to the electronic voting procedure.
