Call to Athletes

Eastern door and the North is putting out a call for male and female athletes who are interested in competing in the sport of Wrestling at the 2020 North American Indigenous Games in Halifax Nova Scotia.

Interested athletes must meet the following criteria:

Proof of Native status (a certificate of Indian Status card or a Haudenosaunee Passport.)

Must reside within the borders of Region 6 Eastern Door and the North (within the borders of the province of Quebec and all of the Mohawk Territory Akwesasne) for longer than 6 months.

Must be born in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 or 2005.

Must have a minimum of one year of previous wrestling experience.

Selection Camps will be held on the following days;

Saturday June 22, 2019  10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Saturday July 20, 2019   10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday August 24, 2019  10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cost is $10.00 which covers all three camps.

Athletes must bring their gym clothes and wrestling shoes, I.Ds for first camps to fill out registration forms.

There will be an hour lunch break, wrestlers are encouraged to bring their own lunches.
