The FLOQ is happy to announce that combat sports now have the green light from public health to resume indoor combat training (in groups of 4 partners).

 Thank you to all the combat sports federations for uniting their voices for a gradual resumption of our activities and to the Government of Quebec for receiving our requests.

Stay vigilant, keep following the rules, the objective is to increase that bubble of 4 people in the next phase.

Return to Training Phase 3

(Groups of 4 partners, same 4 partners for the entire phase 3)

The restrictions and health rules are as follows:

A) Make sure each athlete brings:

  • Health questionnaire
  • Consent Form
  • A bottle of water
  • A bottle of hand sanitizer
  • A towel
  • A sports bag to put personal effects

B) Follow sanitary measures, wearing a mask when traveling indoors.

C) Arrive already dressed ready to practice in clean clothes.

D) Sanitize hands at the entrance to the building and at the entrance to the wrestling room.

E) Leave outdoor shoes outside of the wrestling room.

F) Put on wrestling shoes once inside the wrestling room.

G) Clean the wrestling mats before and after each session:

H) Work in groups of 4 (same group of 4 partners designated to train together untilthe next phase) on a designated area.

I) Designate surfaces using a tape for each group while maintaining a reasonable distance.

J) No parent, companion and spectator will be allowed in the wrestling room. Only coaches and athletes will have access to the wrestling room.

K) If possible provide a different entry and exit point to and from the wrestling room.

L) Determine a training schedule for all groups, schedule a period to disinfect the mat between each group.

M) Take attendance of participants in all training sessions.

N) Athletes should leave immediately after training.

O) Access to changing rooms must be limited and a mask must be worn in the changing room.

P) Minimize the use of public transportation.

Q) Outbreak protocol.
