The U23 Pan American Championships were held in San Luis Peru from June 11th to the 15th as Canada would look to send a strong team to the event. Quebec’s lone representative was Moise Abdul Hamid from the Tritton Performance Wrestling Club, who would be competing at the 74 kg category. Moise’s first match would be against Arnoldo Ariel Proboste of Argentina in the Quarterfinal. Moise would wrestle a strong match, scoring the first point, but would lose the match via Technical Superiority (12-1) and would finish the event in 7th place.
