On Sunday April 30th, two wrestlers were the recipients of bursaries from the Alliance Sports-Études. The bursaries are given out to over two hundred Student Athletes each year. These are students who excel in both athletics and academics and is designed to help student-athletes achieve their greatest success. Sophia Bechard of Concordia University and Rose Lacoste of Vanier College received bursaries for their academic achievements, while Sophia received an additional bursary for athletic success.

In addition, Professor Peter Feder of Concordia University was nominated by Sophia for his support for Varsity athletes in both university sports as well as High performance. His encouragement allowed Sophia to be able to meet her academic deadlines as well as compete at international tournaments throughout the semester. He would go on to win that award.
