The George St-Pierre foundation was at it again, handing out bursaries to young student-athletes to help them along with their studies and training costs. The bursary is given to athletes in the province of Quebec in combat sports as well as gymnastics, which are all skills that George values in his training. This year’s wrestling recipient for the NDG-Côtes des Neiges region was Nolan O’Rourke from the Montreal YMHA. Nolan had a banner year, winning both the U17 Canadian Nationals as well as a Gold Medal at the Matteo Pellicone tournament held in Sassari Italy.
