The Guelph Open was held on Saturday January 24th at the Guelph Gryphons Athletic Centre in Guelph Ontario. The Guelph Open has always been an extremely competitive tournament in that athletes who wish to be carded must compete and do well at this competition to gain valuable carding points. As such, the Guelph Open has long been a preview of the level of competition we would see at the Junior and Senior National Championships. In addtiion to this, the Guelph Open would be one of the most competitive in over a decade as over two hundred competed at the competition. This year, CLIC, Concordia University, the Montreal Wrestling Club NTC and the Tritton Performance Wrestling Club all sent athletes to compete at the event with the results being the following:
