To all members of the FLOQ, we are moving slowly forward on the return to train protocol. Be patient!!! Follow the rules!!! All the combat sports from Québec are working hard together to accelerate the return to play. Congratulations to Otiohkwanoron Montour, and Angel Robertson, Georges St-Pierre, Dominique Choquette, Laurence Beauregard, Erin Rainville and Francis Carter for all their accomplishments!!!

Return to Training Phase 2
As of June, 22th, the government of Québec has allowed both outdoor and indoor training to resume. However, wrestling and all forms of contact sport with a partner is still prohibited. Please follow the link below to find both the consent form + health questionnaire that must be filled out by every individual prior to group training. Additionally, please find attached the Return to Training guidelines that will help answer some of your questions, and help you plan for a return to group trainings.

2021 Canada Games Aboriginal Apprentice Coaches
Congratulations to Otiohkwanoron Montour, and Angel Robertson that have been selected for the 2021 Canada Games Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program.
The Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program (AACP) is a partnership between the Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC), Canada’s Provincial/Territorial Aboriginal Sport Bodies (PTASBs), Provincial/Territorial Coaching Representatives (PTCRs), the Canada Games Council (CGC), and the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). It provides the opportunity for each province and territory to send two (2) coaches of Aboriginal ancestry to the Canada Games in apprenticeship roles. In 2021, the Canada Summer Games will be held in Ontario’s Niagara region.
Angel Robertson & Otiohkwanoron Montour
Otiohkwanoron Montour and Angel Robertson both represent the Tehontatie:nas Mohawk Wrestling Club. This opportunity will provide high level coaching experience for these two young coaches and will help raise the overall coaching in Québec and in Kahnawake.

June 1st: Georges St-Pierre
Georges St-Pierre To the UFC Hall of Fame
Québecois UFC legend and proud Québec wrestler Georges St-Pierre is headed to the UFC Hall of Fame! Georges St-Pierre, from St-Isidore, Que, is a two divisions UFC Champion, and is regarded as the most dominate welterweights in UFC History. Additionally, Georges St- Pierre is a proud Québec wrestler that has trained with the Montreal Wrestling Club for over 15 years. Congratulations Georges from the entire FLOQ community!

June 13: Dominique Choquette
Honors at Paul-Germain-Ostiguy Secondary School
Dominique Choquette, coach for Patriotes St-Césaire won the Personal Committed award. Dominique is a Phys. Ed. Teacher and wrestling coach. “Several times a week, for 33 years, he has helped the students to surpass themselves. His commitment to young people and the community is one of the reasons why he stands out, “said Mireille Lussier, spiritual and community engagement facilitator. Congratulations Mr. Choquette!
June 18: Francis Carter
Francis Carter (Concordia) was awarded the Mappin Medal, upon graduating Concordia University in Behavioural Neuroscience. The Mappin Medal is given to the highest standing student graduating with a Bachelor of Science. Francis Carter will continue his education in the fall, starting a Master in Machine Learning at Mila/Université de Montreal. Francis has been an integral part of the Concordia Stingers wrestling team winning two U Sport Championships (2018, 2019). Congratulations!
