Three Quebec athletes from the Montreal Wrestling Club NTC and the Tritton Performance Wrestling Club took part at the 2024 Pan Am Championships which were held in Acapulco Mexico from February 21st to the 24th. Riley Otto (97 kg Freestyle), Laurence Beauregard (59 kg Women’s Wrestling) and John Yeats (77 kg Greco-Roman) took part in the event which is being held one week before the Olympic Qualifiers.

Riley would begin his tournament with a 2-2 victory over Puerto Rico to move on to the next round. Riley would lose his next match by Grand Superiority (11-0) to Venezuela and would not advance to the repechage.

In the 77 kgs Greco-Roman Division, John Yeats would lose his match by points (2-0) to Guatemala and would not move on to the Repechage.

Laurence’s tournament would be in a Round-Robin, with her first match against Brazil. Laurence would win win that match by a comfortable margin by Grand Superiority (10-0). In her next match, Laurence would face off against Mexico where she would put in another dominant performance with another win via Grand Superiority (10-0). Her next match would have her face off against the United States, arguably the toughest opponent in the division. Laurence would  make short work of her American opponent with a pin. In her final match, Laurence would once again win via pin, this time versus Barbados. Laurence would finish off the tournament without giving up a single point!
